The term Asymmetric center and chiral center :

Three terms are used to designate, a carbon atom bonded tetrahedrally to four different substituents in a chiral molecule: 
Asymmetric atom, chiral center or stereocenter.
Let us understand chiral and achiral center taking few more examples.
