How to reactions of glycerol differ with excess HCl, HBr and HI ?

Both HCl and HBr give same pattern reaction while HI give different product

Reaction of glycerol with limited amount of warmed HI gives allyl iodide.
While in the presence of excess amount of HI, then allyl iodide reduced to propene, which further reacts with HI and forms isopropyle iodide.

What is difference between Glycerol and Glucosamine ?

Glycerol is a three carbon containing trihydroxy alcohol its common name are  Glycerol or Glycerine  and it's IUPAC name is Propane-1,2,3-triol;

Glucosamine  is an amino sugar and a prominent precursor in the biochemical synthesis of glycosylated proteins and lipids. and its molecular formula is (C6H13NO5) and it structure is given below.

From above descriptions it is clear that Glycerol and Glucosamine both are different.
