Fats and Oils are widely
distributed in living organisms. Chemically; these are esters of higher
aliphatic monocarboxylic acids with glycerol, and are therefore also called Glycerides. There are no sharp distinction between oils and fats . Glycerides which are solids at room temperature are called fats while those
are liquid at room temperature are called as oils. For example ; Butter,
