Which will have very fast tendency to dimerized ClO2 or NO and why?

In case of ClO2 odd electron is delocalized over 3 atoms so extent of delocalization of odd electron is higher in comparison to NO. Hence tendency of demerisation of a NO is faster that of ClO2.

Although electron affinity of chlorine is higher than fluorine, yet fluorine act as better oxidizing agent than chlorine? Explain.

Oxidizing character of elements calculated in aqueous medium while electron affinity is the term related to gaseous state.

Since fluorine possesses small size and high negative charge density thus undergoes more hydration as compared to chlorine as result of which its hydration energy increases than electron affinity and thus fluorine takes electron easily in aqueous medium and act as best oxidizing agent. The another reason of high oxidizing power of fluorine is its low bond dissociation energy as compare to chlorine.

What are most common cyclic meta silicates?

(1) Number of oxygen atoms shared per tetrahedron is 2(Two).
(2) Total number of shared oxygen towards one Si atom is one (1)
(3) In cyclic silicates each tetrahedron shares its two oxygen atoms with other tetrahedron atom such that a cyclo silicates is formed.
(4) General formula is (SinO2n)-2n where n =3, 4,5,6,7 etc
(5)The most common cyclic polysilicates are the cyclic trimers, (SiO3)36- and the cyclic hexamers (SiO3)612-.
(6) The most common cyclic trimer is Benitoite [BaTi(Si3O9)] and Wollasponite           [Ca3(Si3O9)]

(7) The most common cyclic hexamer is found in the mineral Beryl [Be3Al2(Si3O9)2] or Be3Al2(Si6O18).

What is structure of solid Ortho Boric acid ?

Boric acid mainly exist in polymeric form like tri ,tetra, panta but tri and tetra meta boric acid are well known, because it's sodium salt (sodium borate,or sodium tetra borate or disodium tetra borate) is very famous which is called "Borax" or Tincal and commercially named as Jeweller,s of Borax [Na2B4O5(OH)4•8H20 or Na2B4O7•10H2O]

In solid state Boric [B(OH)3] unit are hydrogen bonded together into two dimensional sheet.

Borax is uses in manufacturing of ENAMELS and glazes for pottery and disinfectant in medicine.
