How to calculate the & ionic character in H-X bond of Halogen acids.Given that electronegativity of H ,F, Cl, Br. and I are 2.1, 4.0, 3.0, 2.8,and 2.5 respectively.

According to Haney and Smith the percentage of ionic character of a polar covalent bond can be calculated with help of the following expression
The %ionic character of covalent bond is:

The % ionic character of H-F bond is

What are the others examples of NaCl type ionic salts ?

Most of the halides of alkali metals, oxides and sulphides of alkaline earth metals have this type of structures.

(1) Group 1st Halides ie NaI, KCl, RbI, RbF ( except Cs halides) .
(2) Group 2nd  oxide   MgO, CaO, BaO, SrO ( except BeO)
(3) Ammonium Halides ie NH4Cl ,NH4Br ,NH4I etc
(4) Silver Halides ie AgF, AgCl, AgBr ,( except AgI)
(5) Other examples , TiO ,FeO, NiO etc

Note: Ferrous oxide also has sodium chloride, types structure in which O-2 ions are arranged in ccp and Fe+2 ions occupy octahedral ions. However, this oxide is always non – Stoichiometric and has the composition Fe0.95  It can be explained on the assumption that some of the Fe+2 ion are replaced by 2/3rd as many Fe+3 ions in the octahedral voids.

Graphite is considere, thermodynamically the most stable allotrope of carbon why ?

Thermodynamically the most stable allotrope of carbon is considered to be graphite. This is due standard enthalpy of formation of graphite is taken zero .while enthalpy of formation of diamond and fullerenes are 1.90 KJ/Mole and 38.1 KJ/Mole respectively.

All the carbon atom of fullerenes (C60) are equivalent but all C-C bond are not equivalent why ?

In the fullerenes (C60) structure C-C bonds of two different bond length occur at the fusion of two six membered rings the bond length is  C-C = 135.5 pm and at the fusion of  five and six membered rings C-C bond length is 146.7 pm.
